Etymologically known as the Lion City, the island of Singapore is the smallest country in Southeast Asia. It has great economic and social power. It is the fourth largest financial Center in the world and that through good investment in education has managed to project itself as one of the stronger countries.

Although, at present, our country suffers from: poor distribution of wealth, that part of the population is under the poverty line, and extreme poverty; which level of Government, corruption and interference with judicial powers; they become threats, are factors that do not allow to consolidate ourselves as a social stable country, economically and politically. Not to mention aggravating weakness in education, this does not generate workers skilled or visionaries to exploit our riches.

Owners of PanamaCanal, which for 2010 generated revenue of 2 trillion, with two ports (Colón and Balboa-Panama Pacific) which entered in the list as active ports, an attractive banking Center for entrepreneurs and investors;and tourism, have opportunities to achieve higher growth and economic stability.

The development of our country depends on implementing improvements in sectors such as education, health and social assistance. The future is in the hands of the new generations that will surpass and overcome the barriers imposed. The LionCity not only can be an etymological meaning, may be a way to achieve our goals, so that we can "roaring like lions".
